Cheese Festival Returns for 32nd Year
The Watonga Cheese Festival will
return this October for its traditional two-day events, including arts
and crafts, quilt show, amusements, entertainment, merchants cheese food
tour, cheese tasting, classic car show and a parade on Saturday. The
festival will be Oct. 10 and 11 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.
“We are thrilled to bring this
wonderful, family event back for those who have been coming for so many
years and for those who haven’t yet had an opportunity to experience our
festival,” said Joyce Lucas, chair of the festival committee.
Last year the town of Watonga,
including the cheese factory, suffered extensive storm damage in August,
and the committee was forced to cancel the fall festival.
All Cheese Festival activities
will take place in downtown Watonga, and the parade will begin at 12:30
p.m. on Saturday. Festival admission is $5 for one or 2 days. Children
12 and under are admitted free.

We would like to thank all of the businesses who played a part in
this years Trout Derby. In the 20 plus years of the Derby this has been
the best ever, and it wouldn't have been possible without the wonderful
weather, The volunteers of The Watonga Chamber of Commerce, The Friends
of Roman Nose State Park, and most importantly your donation. We would
like to provide a special thank you to Dobrinski Chevrolet, Irwin Auto
Company, and to the General Store for their hospitality.
Sincerely,
The Watonga Chamber of Commerce
