     His preparatory education began in the Watonga Schools, and continued at the University of Oklahoma where he obtained a B.A. in Business Management in 1970.

     He received his law degree from the Oklahoma City University School of Law in 1976.

     He is now a member of the Blaine County Bar Association (President, 1986) and the Oklahoma Bar Association where he was a member of the Law Day Committee from 1979 - 1981 and 1987 - 1991,

and now serves on the Professional Responsibility Tribunal until June, 2009.
