Alice Jane Cunningham Brewer was born December 13, 1945 at Thomas, Oklahoma to Ben and Alma Cunningham and passed away Monday, January 9, 2006 at the age of 60.

 

She was a resident of the Watonga community her entire life where she was a practicing beautician and Red Cross consultant until 2000.  She attended Watonga Schools and received a degree in cosmetology.  Janie was a member of the First Baptist Church in Watonga and devoted most of her spare time to church activities, family and volunteer work for blood drives.

 

She was married to Forest Eugene Brewer at 703 North Weigle in Watonga on December 10, 1962.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister Helen Woods.

 

She is survived by:

     her husband Gene Brewer of the home in Watonga

     two daughters, Kelli Brown and husband Charles of Watonga and Shanna Dobbins and husband, Jason

     one brother, Ben Cunningham and wife Sharon of Broken Arrow

     four grandchildren, Kristen, Greg, McKenzie, and Brennan

     two great grandchildren, Madison and Jade and was expecting one great grandson in May

     as well as numerous other relatives and friends

 

Funeral services for Janie Brewer will be held Thursday, January 12, 2006 at 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church in Watonga.  Burial will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery with Wilkinson Mortuary of Watonga.
