Billy Wayne LaFever

Billy Wayne LaFever was born July 14, 1945 to Henry and Lena Mae (Stuteville) LaFever in Cordell, OK.  He passed away Thursday, January 12, 2006, at the Deaconess Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 60.  Billy graduated from Anadarko High School in 1964.  He was united in marriage to Marilyn Davis April 15, 1965 at the Congregational Church in Binger, OK.  Billy was drafted into the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.  He started working with Caddo Electric Cooperative in the Eakly area, then moved to district lineman, and eventually became department supervisor.  Billy enjoyed hunting and fishing, and attending his grandkids activities.  Billy and Marilyn were members of the Hydro Hi-Steppers and past presidents of the Southwest District Square Dance Association.  He was a member of the Eakly American Legion Post # 312, and a member of the Eakly United Methodist Church.  Billy retired as a volunteer fireman in Eakly after 20 years of service.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Lena Mae (Stuteville) LaFever; three brothers, Raburn, Harley, and Leon LaFever; three sisters, infant Hazel LaFever, Peggy Gonzalez, and Rosetta Easter; and father-in-law, Clayborn Davis.

 

SURVIVORS INCLUDE:

Marilyn (Davis) LaFever of the home, Eakly, OK; one daughter, Tiffaney Loula and her husband Mike of Eakly; two granddaughters, Michaela and Karlee, and one grandson, Trent all of Eakly; two brothers, Cleburn LaFever and his wife Elsie Jo of Eakly, and Ronnie LaFever and his wife Pam of Gotebo; one sister, Patsy Liggett and her husband Jack of Hisperina, CA; and mother-in-law, Marie Davis of Binger, OK.

 

Memorial donations may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation For Lung Cancer.
