Cleta Hickman
Cleta Hickman, 88, of Watonga died Monday afternoon June 1, 2009 at the Okeene Summit Living Center.
Cleta was born August 23, 1920 at Oakwood, the eldest daughter to Thomas and Fae Wright Henry.
She married Frank Harris of Eagle City in 1938 and they had three daughters, Wanda McNish of Edmond, Charlotte Baranski of Del City, and Frankie Jo Ivins of Watonga.
In 1970 she married Cleo Hickman of Watonga who preceded her in death in 2001. Also preceding her in death was a sister, Betty Proffitt. Cleta had many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
She worked in the kitchen at Watonga Middle School. Previously she ran a cafe in Oakwood and was a clerk at Globe Life Insurance in Oklahoma City.
She has three surviving siblings, Lorraine Ivie of Knoxville, Tennesee, Tom Wright of Watonga, and Darla Olson of Fairview. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Watonga.
Her services will be held at the Watonga I.O.O.F. Cemetery 10:00 am, Thursday, June 4, 2009 with Rev. Rick Vermillion officiating. Wilkinson Mortuary of Watonga is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, please send remembrances to the Watonga Hospital Foundation.
