Calvin Leo (C. L.) Crowdis was born October 3, 1934 in Thomas, Okla., to Leo and Fay Crowdis.  He attended Thomas Public Schools, graduating in 1952.  He married Mary A. Coker on June 13, 1953.  They moved to Watonga in 1958.  He worked for Western Propane until 1970 and then as a carpenter.  He delayed his treatment for his illness until his wife's battle with cancer ended on July 20, 2005.  He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer on august 23, 2005.

He is survived by four sons, Ivan and Betty of Yukon, Dennis and Debi of Denton, Texas, Chris and Mary Anne of Gulf Shore, Florida and Curt and Mary Lynne of Spoken, Washington; brothers Groden and Shirley of Atwood, Kansas, Larry and Pat of The Villages, Florida, Les and Jo of Watonga and Bill and Becky of Duncan, Oklahoma.

Funeral Services will be Thursday, November 17th at the United Methodist Church in Watonga and burial will be at Mound Valley Cemetery in Thomas.  Memorials can be made to Watonga Senior Citizens Center of Watonga.
