Cecil Sterling Geary

Cecil Sterling Geary was born October 3, 1949 to Orin and Grace (Lumpmouth) Geary in Lawton, OK.  He passed away Friday, November 11, 2005 at the Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 56.  Cecil graduated from Geary High School and attended Haskell Indian College in Lawrence, KS.  He served in the U.S. Marine Corp. during the Vietnam War where he received a Purple Heart, Combat Action Ribbon, The National Defense Medal, The Vietnam Service medal, The Vietnam Campaign Medal and The Rifle Sharp Shooter Badge.  Cecil was united in marriage to Mary Wahweah in 1973 in Yukon, OK.  He was a member of D.A.V. and Group 101 P.T.S.D.  Cecil enjoyed OU Football, spending time with his grandchildren, and  solving crossword puzzles. 

 

He was preceded in death his parents, Orin and Grace Geary, and one sister, Thelma Geary. 

 

SURVIVORS INCLUDE:

His wife Mary Geary of the home, Oklahoma City, OK; three children, Susan Geary of El Reno, OK, Orin Geary of Ponca City, OK, and Faye Geary of Oklahoma City, OK; five grandchildren, Calleigh and Kelsey Sankey, Jennifer Birdshead, Jacob Wallace and Susan Geary; and one sister, Jeanette Black of Oklahoma City, OK.
