Dorothy Elmira Edsall Maddux
 

Dorothy Elmira Maddux was born June 15, 1919 at Watonga, Oklahoma to Clarence and Minnie Edsall and passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2006 at the age of 86.

 

She was a resident of the Watonga community her whole life where she was a homemaker.  Dorothy enjoyed quilting and crocheting.  She loved to garden and grow flowers.  She graduated from Watonga High School and was a member of the Cheyenne Quilting Club.

She was married to Roy Maddux at Kingfisher, Oklahoma on April 2, 1938.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Leonard "Tubby" Edsall and Leo Edsall, and one grandchild.

 

She is survived by her husband Roy of the home in Watonga.

     Five sons, Wayne of Watonga, Don of Watonga, Owen of El Dorado, KS, Larry of Silver Lake, KS, Vernon of Johnson City, TN

     One daughter, Joyce Rogers of Ulysses, KS

     three sisters, Thelma Cereby of Pennsylvania, Bernice Roberts of Nebraska, Barbara Foulks of Florida

     Twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren

     As well as numerous other relatives and friends

     Funeral services for Dorothy will be held Saturday, February 4, 2006 at 2:00 pm at the graveside at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Watonga with Rev. David Johnson officiating.  Arrangements by Wilkinson Mortuary of Watonga.
