David Franklin Jones

       

David Franklin Jones was born August 2, 1938 at Ben Lomond, Arkansas to Richard and Myrtle McKay Jones and passed away Saturday, November 22, 2008 at the age of 70.

He was a resident of the Oakwood community for three years.  He served in the United States Air Force and was a Vietnam Veteran,  He was married to Shirley Rosson at San Rafael, California on November 2, 1958.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.

He is survived by his wife Shirley of Watonga
     two sons, David Jones of Rocky, Daniel Jones of Watonga
     three daughters, Terry Weldon of Colusa, California, Trenda Buchanan of Oakwood, Tracey Crump of Waldron, Arkansas
     three sisters, Sherri Spencer of Waldron, Arkansas, Brenda Blanton of Waldron, Arkansas, Joyce Green of Fayetteville, Arkansas

Thirteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

Graveside services for David Jones will be held Friday, November 28, 2008 at 11:00 am at the Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, Oklahoma with Wilkinson Mortuary of Watonga in charge of arrangements.
