Gerlene Chavez

       

Gerlene Chavez was born November 11, 1963 at Clinton, Oklahoma to Naomi Fern and Woodrow White Crow and passed away Saturday, February 16, 1008 at the age of 44.

She was a resident of the Clinton, Oklahoma and Custer county her entire life where she was a certified nurses assistant.  She attended school at Seiling, Oklahoma and was a member of the Mennonite Indian Church.  She was married to Edward Red Hat and then later married Lolo Chavez in Woodward, Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, her mother, two brothers, two sisters, her grandparents and nephews.

She is survived by: five daughters - Erica of Oklahoma City, Marilyn of Clinton, Amy of Clinton, Penny of Watonga and Clarrisa of Clinton

.......three brothers - Oliver White Crow, Andrew Harrington and George Harrington

........four sisters - Wanada Red Hat, Colleen Thunder Bull, Charlene Harrington, and Donna Harrington.

.......thirteen grandchildren - Jonah, Aaliyar, Jullian, Amaya, Jeremiah, Emma, Marian, Kyle, Kyra, Precious, Samuel, Mason, Naima

Wake will be held at the Indian Multipurpose Center at 5:30 pm on Tuesday, February 19, 2008.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at 2:00 pm; burial will follow in the Cantonement Cemetery in Canton, Oklahoma. Arrangements by Wilkinson Mortuary, Watonga, Oklahoma.
