Gene Manning  

Gene Manning was born October, 26, 1949 at Sweethome, Oregon to Dewey and Beda (Morris) Manning. He passed away Friday, January13, 2006 at his home in Longdale, Oklahoma at the age of 56.  Gene attended Hydro Schools. He married Martha Farr on March 1, 1968, in Wichita Falls, TX.  Gene and Martha moved to Longdale in 1974 where he worked as a driller in the oilfield. He worked for Hays Construction for the past seven years near Canton Lake.  He was a member of the Living Waters Church at Canton, OK.

 

Gene was preceded in death by his parents Dewey and Beda Manning, one infant daughter, Martha Manning and five brothers.

 

SURVIVORS INCLUDE:

Martha Manning of the home in Longdale, OK, two sons: James Manning and his wife Silvia of Nampa, Idaho and Jonathan Manning and his wife Wendy of Seiling, OK; five grandchildren: Ryan, Aaron, Jessica, Rylee, and Haedon, and four sisters: Louise Story and her husband Lester of Burns Flat, OK, Pansy Ramsey of Hydro, OK, Joann Adams of Altus, OK, and Dorothy Motley and husband Vollie of Prague, OK.

 

GRAVESIDE SERVICES: Longdale Cemetery, Mon., 2:00pm, Jan.16, 2006, Longdale, OK

OFFICIATING: Rev. Travis Howerton

Above ground burial at the Longdale Cemetery under the direction of Hinton-Turner Funeral Home, Hinton, OK.

 

The family requests that memorial donations be made to the building fund at Living Waters Church, Canton, OK.
