Joe Wayne Sullivan was born September 3, 1928 to Wylie Mansfield and Minnie Lee (Seymour) Sullivan in Geary, OK.  He passed away Friday, March 31, 2006 at the Deaconess Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 77.  Joe graduated from Geary High School in 1948.  He lived with his parents until their deaths in 1960 and 1962.  Joe lived in the Geary area until 1992, and then moved to the Elk City Nursing Home.  He worked for Unit Rig and Equipment Company in Tulsa for a short period of time and seasonal employment at feed stores and filling stations. 

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wylie Mansfield and Minnie Lee Sullivan, siblings, Willis C. Sullivan, Helen Uzzell, Bert Sullivan, Wylie (Cat) Sullivan, Rose Magness, Bill Sullivan, Juanita Timblin, and Lura Mae Sullivan. 

 

SURVIVORS INCLUDE:

One sister, Ima Lee McBroom of Geary, OK;

Numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
