Lee Allen (Bus) Becker

 

        Lee Allen (Bus) Becker was born November 25, 1919 at Okeene, Oklahoma to Frank and Martha Kammerzell Becker and passed away Saturday, September 30, 2006 at the age of 86.

 

He was a resident of the Okeene community all of his life where he owned and operated Beckers Body Shop.  He attended Locust Grove Country School and was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church of Okeene.  He joined the U.S.Army in 1939 and fought in a battle at Dusaldorf, Germany during World War II.  He was discharged in 1941.

 

He was married to Esther Nusz in 1941, then married Mary Schmidt in Woodward, Oklahoma on January 8, 1953; then married Donna Crites on May 23, 2005.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, three wives, two brothers, one infant daughter and one son, Edward.

 

He is survived by:
     three sons, Jay Lee Becker, Roger Becker and Ronnie Becker, all of Okeene
     one daughter, Doris Kohen of Oklahoma City
     one sister, Edith Richardson of Wichita, Kansas

     eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

 

Rosary services will be held Tuesday, October 3, 2006 at 6:00 pm at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Okeene, Oklahoma.  Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, October 4, 2006 at 11:00 am at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Okeene, Oklahoma with Father Dave Cowden as Celebrant.  Burial will follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Okeene, with Wilkinson Mortuary of Okeene in charge of arrangements.
