Lee Easter
Lee Easter was born July 12, 1933 at Carter, Oklahoma to Charley and Carrie Thompson Easter and passed away Thursday, February 21, 2008 at the age of 74. Lee was a resident of the Watonga community since 1965 where he owned and operated an oil field construction business for fifty years. He attended Highway Schools in Highway, Oklahoma and was a member of the Watonga Christian Church in Watonga, Oklahoma. He was a member of the I.O.O.F. organization since 1983. Lee was a lifetime member of the Boy Scouts of America and a troop leader for 12 years. He enjoyed serving the community Christmas dinner every Christmas. For a number of years he would take Easter eggs over to Cookson Hills Christian Home and play the Easter bunny. He really loved to do that. He was proceeded in death by Rosetta Easter, his wife of 37 years, two brothers - Grover and Clinton, one sister - Bonny Brady, three infant siblings - Stella, Glen and Tiny. He is survived by his wife, Pearl of the home in Watonga, four sons - Randy Easter and wife Rosina of Las Vegas, Nevada, John Easter of Globe, Arizona, Jerry Easter and wife, Chris of Watonga, Cliff Easter of Watonga - three daughters - Janet Myers and husband Jeff of Hobart, Carrie Gilreagh of Lone Wolf, Sherrie Moore and husband Mike of Lone Wolf, three brothers - Charles Easter of Elk City, Joe Easter of Sayre, Elvern Easter of Sayre, three sisters - Josie Lindsey of Elk City, Sybel Namba of Elk City, Birdie Dodd of Denver, 4 step children - Steve Tipton and wife Nancy, Deloris Loyal, Karen Proffitt and husband Mason, Sandra Smith, 15 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Lee will be held Monday, February 25, 2008 at 10:00 am at the Watonga Christian Church in Watonga, Oklahoma with Rev. Doyle Warren, Rev. David Johnson and Rev. Neil Sexton officiating. Burial will follow in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Watonga, Oklahoma with Wilkinson Mortuary of Watonga in charge of arrangements. Memorial contribution may be made to the Cookson Hills Children's Home, Diabetes Association or the the American Heart Association or the memorial of your choice.
