Lydia Eva Edsall
Services for Lydia Eva Edsall, 71, of Watonga will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, March 30, 2007 at the First Baptist Church in Watonga with the rev. Rick Harrison officiating. Burial will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery under the direction of Wilkinson Mortuary of Watonga, OK. Lydia Edsall was born April 30, 1935 at Watonga and died Monday, March 26, 2007, following a long illness. She was the daughter of Dave and Donnie (Lancaster) Long. She was named for her great-great grandmother, Lydia Scott Harvey, and her great grandmother, Lydia Harvey Young. She attended Watonga schools and was a member of the First Baptist Church. She married Leo D. Edsall on April 1, 1953 at Guthrie. They operated a dairy for many years, and spent their lives farming and raising cattle. She was a member of the Oklahoma Cattlemen's Association. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Edsall, her parents, Dave and Donnie Long; a brother, George Long, and a sister, Jane Long. She is survived by six sisters, Marion Kidd of Thomas, OK; Mary Trotman of Auburn, WA; Margaret Godwin of Fay, OK; Ruth Martin of Oklahoma City, OK; Myrtle Oldham of Springfield, MO and Johnnie Sue Todd of Woodward, OK. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
