Lois Elizabeth Johnson Lois Elizabeth Johnson was born June 7, 1919 in Piedmont, South Carolina to Ernest W. & Ressie (Walker) Dickson. She passed away Monday, January 2, 2006 at the Geary Community Nursing Home in Geary, OK at the age of 86. She was united in marriage to Thomas R. Johnson June 17, 1940 in El Reno, OK and he preceded her in death June 17, 2005. Lois has lived in the Greenfield area since 1940.
Lois shared a Christian faith that has no churches, no paid pastors, no membership records, no offering collections and with rare exceptions, uses no name. They worship in the homes of their elders. A few days at a time; they share their homes with their unpaid ministers, who are called "workers".
Survivors: 2 daughters, Sue Landreth and husband Jim of Watonga, OK and Linda Anderson and husband Gene of OKC, OK; five grandchildren: Michael Shane Biles of Danville, AL, Troy Don Biles of Tuscumbia, AL; Bob Landreth of Watonga, Shirley Whitener of Tuttle, OK, Donna Landreth of Dallas, TX; bonus grandchildren: Todd Anderson of Muskogee, Chris Anderson of Muskogee, and Amber Guevara of Muskogee. Also seven great-grandchildren, 1 brother, Jack Dickson and wife Irene of Clinton, and 1 sister, Ruth Dickson of Puerto Rico.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Thomas R. Johnson, 4 brothers, Joe, Hubert, Loy and Jimmy Dickson.
