Leland Ray Woldridge
Leland Ray Woldridge was born January 25, 1948, Thomas, Oklahoma to Leslie and Zella Woldridge and passed away Thursday, February 22, 2007 at the age of 59. He was a resident of the Watonga community all of his life. After graduation from Watonga High School he entered into the air Force on May 1967. He served a tour in Vietnam, and was stationed in Okinawa, Japan and several states in the United States for twenty years before retiring from the air Force in 1987. He then farmed and worked for NAPA Auto for five years as a mechanic. Leland continued farming until 2002. He loved using his metal detector, fishing, farming, computer games and going four wheeling. Leland especially loved spending time with people and his family. Leland was a member of the First Baptist Church of Watonga. He was married to Betty Davis at Watonga, Oklahoma on January 26, 1969. He was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his wife Betty of the home in Watonga. One son, Justin Ray Woldridge and wife Sherri of Watonga. Two daughters, Toni Hightower and husband Todd of Watonga, Leslie Marriott and husband Matt of Fishers, Indiana Two brothers, Odean Huitt of Hydro, Arnold Huitt of Watonga Mother, Zella Grizzle of Watonga Five grandchildren, Colten Hightower, Thaddius Woldridge, Jordan Marriott, Dominic Woldridge, Morgan Marriott. Funeral services for Leland will be held Monday, February 26, 2007 at 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church in Watonga with Burial in the Oakwood Memorial Cemetery in Oakwood, Oklahoma with Wilkinson Mortuary of Watonga in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
