Kent Spangler was born August 13, 1938 on the family farm in Fay, Oklahoma to Marvin and Orpha Roberts Spangler and passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2008 a the age of 69.

He was a resident of the Fay and Watonga communities his entire life where he was a farmer and rancher.   during his lifetime Kent was a contract pumper working for various oil companies for over 25 years.  He graduated from Fay High School in 1958 and was a member of the First Christian Church in Watonga.

Kent enjoyed camping and taking family trips with his boat.  Over the last years he spent many mornings and afternoons drinking coffee with friends at the Hi De Ho Cafe, but most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one infant sister, Carrie Spangler.

He is survived by:
     one son, Roger Spangler of Watonga
     one daughter, Cindy Hamilton and husband Ron of Yukon, Oklahoma
     two brothers, Donald Spangler of Southard, Oklahoma and Ronald Spangler of Canton, Oklahoma
     two grandchildren, Corrinna Lory and Shelby Lynn Hamilton
     two great-grandchildren, Tre Lory and Braxton Lory
     Special Friend, Ladonna Plummer of Watonga, Oklahoma
     as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Kent will be held Saturday, April 19, 2008 at 10:00 am at the Christian Church in Watonga with Rev. David Johnson officiating.  Burial will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Fay.  Arrangements by Wilkinson Mortuary of Watonga.  Memorials may be made to the Watonga Senior Citizens Center.
