Norman Ben Terry

       

Norman Ben Terry was born June 27, 1928 at Woodward, Oklahoma to Ben and Naomi Terry and passed away Friday, December 1, 2006 at the age of 78.

He was a resident of the Watonga community for 52 years where he was a theater owner and cable TV entrepreneur.  He attended the University of Oklahoma and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Lions Club, City Councilman and a member of the Watonga Hospital Board.  Norman served two years in the U.S. Army and was actively working toward building another movie theater in Watonga.

He was married to Lois Hunter at the First Presbyterian Church in Woodward, Oklahoma on December 24, 1950.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his twin sons; Norman Kirk and Steven Craig Terry.

He is survived by his wife Lois of the home in Watonga.
     one son, Mark Terry and wife Susanne of Dallas, Texas
     two daughters, Susan Terry of Portland, Oregon; Lisa Rutledge and husband Travis of Mooreland, Oklahoma
     five grandchildren, Taylor and Alex Terry of Dallas, Texas; Lora, Traci and Seth Rutledge of Mooreland, Oklahoma

Funeral services for Norman Terry will be held Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at 2:00 pm at the United Methodist Church in Watonga with Rev. Larry Masoner officiating.  Burial will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Watonga with Wilkinson Mortuary of Watonga in charge of arrangements.
