Ora Schnell
Ora Schnell was born April 6, 1016 in Okeene Oklahoma to John and Martha (Hein) Schnell. He died peacefully in his sleep on April 2, 2007. In 1938, Ora married Losie Schaffler Grentz. Together they had a son, De-Wane Schnell, who has four children, Sherri Malget, David Schnell, Jeff Schnell, and Myrando Schnell. Ora and Losie farmed wheat and dairy cattle for many years. In 1966 they retired from cattle farming and moved into Watonga, but Ora continued to enjoy wheat farming. During the less busy seasons of raising wheat, Ora worked for Blaine County in the road maintenance department. he also worked at a local lumberyard. After Losie's death in 1993, he latter married Evelyn Scheffler White of Hitchcock. Ora was a hardworking, honest man who was devoted to his family. Ora was a member of the Okeene Seventh Day Adventist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, by four brothers, Albert, Roy, Harvey, George, sister, Ruby Laudner and his wife, Losie. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Schenell of HItchcock; son, De-Wane and wife June of Watonga; granddaughter Sherri and husband John Malget of Houston, TX; great-grandchildren Nick and Kristin Malget; grandson David and wife Lori of Hitchcock; great-grandchildren Julie and Justin Schnell; grandson Jeff Schnell and wife Shannon of Wichita, KS; granddaughter Myranda Schnell of Ft. Worth, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Ora will be held on Monday, April 9, 2007 at 10:00 am at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Okeene, OK with Pastor Paul Evans officiating. Burial will follow at the Omega Seventh Day Adventist Cemetery in Omega, OK. Wilkinson Mortuary of Watonga, OK is in charge of arrangements.
