Orlin Sherman Dennis

                                         

Orlin Sherman Dennis was born April 5, 1921 at Birdstown, Tenn. to Thomas Millard Dennis and Ada Ethel Garrett. He passed away February 24, 2009 in the Watonga Municipal Hospital at the age of 87.

He married Rudy L. Meade on October 1, 1940 at Watonga, OK. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, three daughters, Athena Price of Tulsa, OK, Loretta Young of Watonga, OK, and Francis Lamothe of Watonga, OK, five grandchildren and six great grandchildren and two sisters Wanda Norris of Marlow, OK and Imogene Batten of LaConner, WA.

He was preceded in death by a son Ricky J.R. Dennis, three brothers and five sisters.

He spent most of his life in the Watonga area where he was a mechanic and later engaged in farming and ranching until he retired.

Graveside services will be held at the I.O.O.F. cemetery in Watonga, OK at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, February 27, 2009 with Rev. David Johnson officiating. Wilkinson Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
