Ruth Hobson Zweiacher was born April 2, 1916 at Geary, OK to Roscoe & Bessie (Eastridge) Galloway.  She passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2006 at Forest Glade Assisted Living  Center in Bethany, OK at the age of 90.  Ruth graduated from Calumet High School.  She was united in marriage to Walter Dale “Deak” Hobson in January of 1934 and he preceded her in death in Aug of 75. She later married Harley Zweiacher August 4, 1977 in Tulsa, OK and he preceded her in death March 3, 2002 in El Reno, OK. Ruth was Baptized and a member of the First Christian Church in Calumet and later transferred her membership to the First Mennonite Church in Geary.

 

Survivors Including:

            One son, Paul Hobson & wife, Loretta of Calumet, OK, one daughter, Anne Hobson of Newalla, OK, four grandchildren, Tim & Cecilia Hobson, El Reno, OK, Todd & Tricia Hobson of El Reno, OK, Gini & Brandon Houston of El Reno, OK, Jeff & April McGehee of Newalla, OK; eleven great-grandchildren.

 

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Roscoe & Bess Galloway, husbands, ‘Deak’ Hobson, & Harley Zweiacher, one sister, Eula Shawver, one grandson, Chipper Hobson, one brother, Jack Galloway.

 

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be sent to Oddyssey Hospice 2212 NW 50^th Suite 246C, Oklahoma City, OK 73112
