One of the most unusual projects that the oldest Lions member
George Russell
remembers
is when the local ag teacher, Joe Legaco, had the kids help build some poles with sliding bars on them for the Lions Club
to sell.

These poles were set in the ground beside the trash barrels and the sliding bar hooked on the side of the barrell to prevent dogs from turning them over. This was a very successful fund-raiser!
