Rex Kraft came to Watonga in
February 1998 to assume the
position of Farm Bureau
Insurance Agent. He was born
and raised in Shattuck;
graduated from NWOSU in 1981
with a B.S. in Business
Administration. He worked as a
manager for USPCI near Waynoka,
Oklahoma for 10 years, then
moved to Minnesota in 1992 and
opened and operated a facility
for the same company (then
called Laidlaw Environmental)
for 6 years until 1998.
Rex Kraft says that Oklahoma
Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance
Company is an Oklahoma based
entity and that they sell
insurance to Okies. He believes
that they understand the people
of Oklahoma and can fulfill
their insurance needs based on
this understanding. Their
products are designed by Okies,
for Okies.
Growth is what Rex envisions
for his business in the future.
He sees positive things
happening in Watonga and Blaine
County in general. Rex believes
that Watonga is a great place to
live and that we all need to
realize that. He’s confident
that if the word gets out, that
Watonga WILL grow!
Rex would like everyone to know
that you don’t have to be a
farmer to have his insurance.
Oklahoma Farm Bureau Insurance
sells commercial insurance, life
insurance, auto insurance, etc.
and of course, farm insurance.
Rex laughs when he thinks of
one of his first social outings
in Watonga. He went to an
academic banquet for students
and, of course, he wanted to
make a good impression on
people. He sat by a new
acquaintance and asked him if he
had grandkids attending the
banquet. His new friend said,
“That’s my son and my daughter
over there!” |
